About the Job

As an HSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health, Safety, and Environmental programs across oil and gas field operations. This includes conducting site safety audits, performing incident investigations, facilitating regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA standards, and delivering safety training to field personnel. The ideal candidate has direct experience in oilfield operations, a strong understanding of safety management systems, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks in high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge on safety. Develop, enforce, and refine HSE policies that keep our crews alive and our sites compliant.
  • Conduct boots-on-the-ground inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Identify hazards before they become headlines.
  • Train crews on safety protocols, emergency response, and environmental compliance. Make safety second nature.
  • Investigate incidents with precision. Find the root cause, document it, and implement corrective actions that stick.
  • Keep detailed records of incidents, inspections, and training. Transparency isn’t optional.
  • Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and leadership to ensure safety isn’t just a policy—it’s a culture.
  • Stay ahead of the curve. Monitor and implement changes in OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of HSE experience in oil and gas operations.
  • Proficient in OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and incident investigation.
  • Excellent communication skills for training and reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or NEBOSH.
  • Experience with drilling, completions, and production operations.
  • Familiarity with safety management systems like ISNetworld and Veriforce.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks on-site.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to travel to remote field locations as needed.​

Working Conditions

  • Field-based role with exposure to hazardous environments.
  • Standard workweek with potential for extended hours during emergencies or critical operations.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on-site.​

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: DOE

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
