Now Hiring: Horizontal Directional Drilling Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist the HDD crew with daily operations, including setup and site preparation.
• Operate a vacuum excavator to assist in exposing utilities and other excavation tasks.
• Perform physical labor such as digging, moving materials, and handling tools.
• Help with the installation of underground fiber optic cables and conduits.
• Ensure job sites are clean and equipment is properly maintained.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment as needed (must be 21+ for driving).
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure the proper use of equipment.
• Be available for overtime and assist with job site cleanup and equipment inspections.
• Maintain good public relations by interacting courteously with the public.

Qualifications

• Required: Previous excavation construction experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license (suspended licenses need not apply).
• Must be 18 years or older (21+ to drive company vehicles and operate equipment).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have reliable transportation to commute to job sites.
• Ability to use small tools and hand tools.
• Strong physical endurance for hot weather, repetitive bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 90 lbs., push and pull, and perform manual labor.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and provide a 3-year MVD record.
• Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow).
• Preferred: Experience with utility line locating using a line locator.

Physical Requirements

• Perform tasks requiring physical endurance, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
• Crawl, kneel, climb, and work with both hands and arms.
• Work in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Carry and move materials up to 90 lbs. and operate equipment safely.

Working Conditions
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. It involves manual labor, including repetitive bending, lifting, and working in challenging environments..

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16-$19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
