You will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This position requires experience operating different types of trucks and trailers, including semi-trucks, pickups, hyrdovac trucks, step deck trailers and gooseneck trailers. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks with manual transmissions
  • Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
  • Ensure all goods are properly secured before transportation
  • Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations
  • Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Input daily field tickets and hours into our system for each day after work is complete
  • Report any and all defects, accidents or violations

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., tanker, freight)
  • Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
  • Ability to operate various types of trucks and trailers, including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and tankers
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment such as forklifts and backhoes is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours at a time)
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed
  • Capable of performing tasks that involve prolonged standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling
  • Specific vision abilities, including color vision, distance vision, and depth perception
  • Ability to tolerate work in extreme weather conditions

Working Conditions
This position operates in an outdoor environment, requiring work in varying weather conditions such as extreme cold, heat, rain, and wind. Exposure to construction sites, urban and rural environments, and potential risks such as natural gas or electrical shock is possible. Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud.
